working principle of ceramic cartridge
- Jan 30, 2019 -

There are three holes in the bottom of the general ceramic cartridge, two for the hot and cold water inlet, one for the water inside the cartridge; the bottom of the cartridge has a sealing ring to ensure the seal with the main body. When connected to the main body, it can ensure that the cold water and hot water channels and the two holes of the cartridge correspond one-to-one.

The cartridge controls the opening and closing of the two holes, which is realized by the movement of two ceramic plates. It is assumed that the hole on the left side is hot water, the hole on the right side is in cold water, and the handle is closed to move the valve stem to drive the ceramic piece to move. The left and right holes are sealed. At this time, no water flows into the cartridge. The sealing ring at the bottom of the cartridge allows the water flow to pass through the cartridge to enter the main body water outlet. This is no water entering the cartridge, and the main body will not produce water.

When the handle is opened to the far left, the ceramic piece is moved, so that the hole on the left side is completely opened and the hole on the right side is closed. Thus, the cold water tries to enter the valve plug and is blocked, and the water in the hot water channel enters the cartridge. A small space inside the cartridge is the irregular concave hole of the ceramic piece, and then flows into the main body through the lowermost hole, so that the main body water is hot water; when the handle is opened to the far right, it is cold water, when it is opened to the middle, The cold water hot water channel is opened at the same time, and flows into the cartridge to mix and then flows out as warm water.
